Gruvi Weekly Digest #27 — A weekly catch up on what we found interesting at Gruvi.
This Star Wars day we start with a look at the gains the exhibition sector of the European film industry have had in the past year. We also share an article on a new VoD platform that has Criterion and TCM uniting their forces. Then we stop to ponder the correlation between ping pong table and the success of tech companies and have a look at the latest in interior design. And we couldn’t let May the 4th go by without reading about a Super Star Destroyer’s super death.
Criterion and TCM have announced their collaboration to launch a streaming service catering to the needs of nostalgic cinephiles everywhere. It’s fantastic to see viewers having increasingly the ability to legally stream all kinds of films, but it also makes me wonder how many streaming platforms is too many?
